The Brownlow Medal is one of the biggest nights on the AFL calendar, where football's finest trade their boots for black tie.

For the 2026 Brownlow Medal, Houndstooth Tailors had the privilege of dressing five AFL stars — Marcus Bontempelli, Tim Taranto, Bailey Dale, Aaron Naughton and Luke Davies-Uniacke.

From the first fitting to the final touches, each look was crafted with precision, personality and an appreciation for timeless style.

The Brownlow Lineup

This year's lineup showcased the versatility of classic black-tie tailoring.

Marcus Bontempelli returned to Houndstooth following his wedding, bringing his signature understated elegance to the occasion.

Bailey Dale kept things timeless in a sharp, single-breasted tuxedo with a classic shawl lapel.

Aaron Naughton embraced sophisticated formalwear with a contemporary edge.

Tim Taranto stepped out in a refined look, balancing traditional tailoring with modern style.

Luke Davies-Uniacke made a statement in a double-breasted tuxedo, complete with peak lapels and classic black-tie details.

Behind the Scenes at Crown Towers

The finishing touches are just as important as the first fitting.

On Brownlow day, the Houndstooth team set up at Crown Towers Melbourne, where Andy Cossar personally prepared the players ahead of the red carpet.

From adjusting bow ties and perfecting pocket squares to those final jacket checks, every detail was considered.
